Blake has very varied expressions based on what he wished to achieve, though the language itself usually stays simple and lyrical on the surface. If we ignore his rhyming, the language also resembles the language of religious works. Not exactly surprising considering many of his works are very religious and spiritual. On the superficial level, many of his poems seem like simple praises and descriptions but with analysis, they reveal many different levels of interpretation.

He concluded the Soviet Union was poor, more or less “Bulgaria with nuclear missiles,” and that the rich and smart USA could outcompete them economically and technologically, an insight that had some influence on Reagan Administration strategy in the 1980s. The relationship of the American poet Wallace Stevens to Romanticism is raised in the poem „Another Weeping Woman“ and its commentary. Although nothing ever came of this, the hymn’s widespread appeal has not dimmed – with those calls for the hymn to represent the English being renewed again in the present day. It was an imprudent and highly satisfactory marriage. Blake taught Catherine to read and write , to draw, to colour his designs and prints, to help him at the printing press, and to see visions as he did. She believed implicitly in his genius and his visions and supported him in everything he did with charming credulity. After his death she lived chiefly for the moments when he came to sit and talk with her. Today I will conclude the short biography of the great man. Even if you don’t love every poem, one must love his devotion to a vision. Difficult to digest but a wonderful experience, I suspect when I re-read this one in 3-5 years I’m gonna have a different interpretation of Blake’s works. I am completely against any edition that has the poems without the illustrations . It’s literally a crime against the man’s art to publish the text without the drawings. I borrowed The Complete Poetry & Prose of William Blake through the Arrowhead interlibrary loan system, which serves northeast Minnesota.

I think he found a niche but which is a really small niche, with his “HBD” schtick. Everybody knows that at every given time numerous spying activities by several foreign countries is going on in the USA – the same at it is in many other countries. And of course the country which spies the most internationally it the USA itself, including in allied countries.
